A leading specialist law firm is seeking a Senior Residential Property Paralegal to join their expert property practice in Birmingham. This role offers you the opportunity to manage complex residential conveyancing matters for Registered Providers of Social Housing, including shared ownership transactions and lease arrangements. What you'll do:

  • Manage a specialist caseload of residential conveyancing matters for Registered Providers of Social Housing, including shared ownership staircasing and final staircasing transactions, lease extensions, buyback transactions, deeds of variation, deeds of covenant, and lease surrender and regrant arrangements.
  • Oversee the conveyancing aspects of residential enfranchisement matters and auction sales, ensuring all transactions progress efficiently within agreed timescales while navigating complex legal requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, housing associations, managing agents, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes and deliver a high-quality client experience.
  • Apply meticulous attention to detail alongside a thorough understanding of conveyancing risk management, regulatory requirements, and compliance obligations throughout each stage of the process.
  • Work collaboratively within a professional team environment while taking responsibility for matters from instruction through to completion; provide support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all stages of the transaction process to ensure clarity, transparency, and satisfaction.
  • Contribute proactively to the ongoing improvement of internal processes by sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues across the property practice.
  • Support the wider team by assisting with complex cases or providing guidance on technical issues related to residential property law.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all transactions in accordance with regulatory standards and firm policies.
  • Participate in training sessions or development programmes aimed at enhancing sector expertise and personal growth.

What you bring:

  • At least one year of Residential conveyancing experience is essential for managing complex caseloads involving shared ownership staircasing transactions, lease extensions, buybacks, deeds of variation, covenants, lease surrender and regrant arrangements.
  • Strong attention to detail is required for reviewing legal documents thoroughly and ensuring accuracy throughout every stage of the transaction process.
