What you'll do:

• Represent clients in a broad spectrum of commercial disputes involving high-profile energy, utilities, industrial engineering, technology, manufacturing, and consumer sectors.
• Work directly with partners and senior lawyers on some of the largest cases within the firm while also taking responsibility for smaller standalone matters.
• Actively participate in teams handling complex international disputes and collaborate across practice groups to deliver exceptional legal solutions.
• Engage with clients regularly to provide strategic advice on commercial matters and develop specialist expertise over time.
• Contribute to business development activities by identifying new opportunities and supporting initiatives that enhance client relationships.
• Take ownership of matters by generating and leading cases within the team, ensuring visibility and accountability throughout the process.
• Provide first-rate client service by understanding their needs and delivering tailored legal strategies that address their unique challenges.
• Support colleagues through knowledge sharing and mentoring junior team members as part of a communal approach to success.
• Participate in pro bono work and community engagement projects that align with the firm's values of giving back and making a positive impact.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments in commercial dispute resolution to ensure best practices are applied.

What you bring:

• A strong academic background complemented by robust legal training ideally focused on commercial dispute resolution.
• Between NQ and two years’ post-qualification experience with demonstrable exposure to a wide range of commercial disputes.
• A proactive approach combined with flexibility to handle varied matters including opportunities for specialisation in areas such as international arbitration or product liability claims.
• Experience delivering excellent client service through effective communication and relationship-building skills.
• Exposure to business development activities with an understanding of how to win new work for the team.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with existing and prospective clients through empathetic communication.
• International or cross-border experience would be advantageous but not essential for success in this role.
• Commitment to continuous learning demonstrated by keeping abreast of legal developments relevant to commercial litigation.
• Strong teamwork skills evidenced by collaboration with colleagues across practice groups and willingness to share knowledge.
