What you'll do:
- Support housing litigation casework from pre-action stages through to litigation proceedings, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Draft court documents under supervision of qualified solicitors, maintaining compliance with legal standards and deadlines.
- Liaise regularly with courts, counsel, experts, and clients to facilitate smooth communication and progress of cases.
- Assist with billing processes, settlements negotiations, and reporting requirements to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Maintain accurate time recording for all activities undertaken as well as meticulous case files for each client matter.
- Work collaboratively with solicitors to deliver a high-quality service tailored to the needs of social housing clients.
- Contribute to the preparation of evidence bundles and documentation required for hearings or trials.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and updating case management systems.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions designed to enhance your sector expertise and legal knowledge.
- Engage in regular feedback sessions with supervisors to track your development and identify areas for improvement.
What you bring:
- 6 months experience of working in a Housing Litigation team is essential. Applications without this will not be considered.
- Strong organisational skills paired with exceptional attention to detail enable you to manage multiple tasks effectively.
