What you'll do:
- Independently manage your own caseload of litigation matters while providing assistance on more complex files as required by the team.
- Quote and scope work accurately for clients, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the process.
- Draft legal proceedings and court documents with precision and attention to detail, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Prepare clear instructions to counsel for hearings or advice, supporting effective case progression.
- Manage client expectations sensitively while meeting all relevant court deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Handle breach of contract claims efficiently, applying your knowledge to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
- Advise on tort claims with empathy and professionalism, ensuring clients feel supported throughout their case journey.
- Deal with boundary disputes by providing practical solutions that reflect both legal requirements and client needs.
- Undertake commercial property litigation work, collaborating closely with colleagues to share insights and best practices.
- Assist with residential property litigation cases as needed, contributing positively to the overall success of the team.
What you bring:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 6 months' post-qualification experience in dispute resolution or commercial litigation.
- Proven/demonstrable ability to independently to run your own files while also being willing to assist others when required by the team’s workload.
- Experience quoting and scoping work for clients in a clear and transparent manner that builds trust.
- Demonstrated skill in drafting legal proceedings and court documents with meticulous attention to detail.
- Competence in preparing instructions to counsel for hearings or advisory purposes within tight timeframes.
- Track record of managing client relationships considerately while meeting all relevant court deadlines.
- Familiarity with handling breach of contract claims from initial instruction through resolution.
- Exposure to tort claims work with an empathetic approach towards clients’ needs during challenging times.
- Experience dealing with boundary disputes using practical problem-solving abilities within a legal framework.
- Knowledge of commercial property litigation or residential property litigation processes would be advantageous.
