Interim Senior Legal Counsel

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Senior Legal Counsel to join a leading international manufacturing business in Manchester. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the UK and internationally, you will provide commercially focused advice on complex contracts, strategic projects and business-critical initiatives.

Key responsibilities of a Interim Senior Legal Counsel:

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating high-value, complex commercial contracts with customers, sales intermediaries, and other key business partners
• Acting as a key contact for senior stakeholders in a range of business units and corporate support departments to help influence and implement business strategy and direction
• Supporting operational and commercial functions with day-to-day legal queries and issues
• Support the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Group Legal Director and other senior lawyers as required, both in the UK and internationally where possible
• Provide practical solutions to complex legal problems as the Interim Senior Legal Counsel
• Supporting/ leading on M&A projects within the business where possible
• Supporting projects that underpin the business's key objectives across multiple disciplines

Essential Skills & Experience:

• The ideal candidate would have 8+ years PQE
• Excellent technical knowledge of commercial law and drafting skills
• A deep understanding of the challenges of a fast-moving, revenue generating business
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels
• Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
