What you'll do:
* Investigate and analyse claims by reviewing documentation and preparing draft advices that support solicitors in resolving complex financial disputes.
* Support the handling of customer complaints by investigating issues thoroughly, reviewing relevant materials, and preparing clear responses aligned with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
* Assist solicitors in preparing trial bundles for court proceedings, ensuring all necessary documents are organised accurately and efficiently.
* Instruct experts as required for casework and carry out initial reviews of expert reports to ensure findings are properly integrated into ongoing matters.
* Draft correspondence for clients and stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and clarity throughout all written communications.
* Review discovery documents received from other parties to identify key information relevant to dispute resolution processes.
* Manage key dates associated with cases, including deadlines for submissions, hearings, and other critical milestones.
* Assist with recording, reporting on, and analysing Management Information (MI) to provide valuable insights into case progress and outcomes.
* Contribute to billing processes by supporting accurate time recording and assisting with invoice preparation for client matters.
What you bring:
* Experience in complaints handling within financial services or similar sectors is highly valued; your ability to investigate issues thoroughly and respond empathetically is essential.
* Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required so you can convey complex information clearly to clients and colleagues alike.
* Accuracy in your work combined with strong organisational skills ensures you can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
* Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities allows you to support your team effectively during busy periods or when urgent matters arise.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is required; experience using Excel (including basic formulas, vlookup functions, pivot tables/charts) is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with PowerPoint or Interwoven document management systems would be advantageous for supporting casework administration.
* Proficient Excel skills such as exporting data between spreadsheets or creating easy-to-read analysis are desirable but not essential for success in this role.
* Ability to manage large volumes of documentation efficiently while maintaining confidentiality demonstrates your dependability as a team member.
