HR Advisor – Employee Relations & Case Management 12-month contract | Glasgow | Competitive day rate | Hybrid working

I am currently recruiting for an Interim HR Advisor to join a leading global financial services organisation based in Glasgow on an initial 12-month assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established HR team during an exciting period of transformation. The organisation is experiencing continued growth and is evolving its HR operating model, creating a greater focus on specialist employee advisory support and case management.

Working closely with an experienced team of HR Business Partners, you will provide hands-on HR advice and support across a broad range of employee matters, helping managers navigate complex situations while ensuring a consistent, commercially focused and high-quality HR service.

The role

  • Provide comprehensive HR advisory support to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.

  • Manage and advise on a range of employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct and other complex casework.

  • Coach and support managers in handling sensitive employee matters, ensuring appropriate application of employment legislation and internal policies.

  • Support the HR Business Partner team with day-to-day case management, helping manage increasing volumes of work.

  • Contribute to wider HR projects, including performance management, annual promotion, compensation and year-end processes.

  • Analyse people data and metrics to identify trends, manage risk and support business decision-making.

  • Work collaboratively with specialist HR teams across Employee Relations, Talent, Reward, Benefits and Employment Legal.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders locally and across the wider international HR function.

About you

  • Ideally 2 years' minimum experience in a broad HR Generalist or HR Advisor position.

  • Strong hands-on experience managing employee relations cases and providing practical HR advice.

  • Confident coaching managers and supporting them through challenging employee situations.

  • Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.

  • Commercially minded, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • CIPD qualification desirable.

  • Financial services experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

We are open to candidates at different stages of their HR career. This could suit an established HR Advisor looking for their next challenge, or a more experienced HR professional keen to focus on employee relations and advisory work.

What's on offer?

  • Initial 12-month contract with potential exposure to future opportunities within the wider organisation.

  • Opportunity to work within a globally recognised financial services business.

  • Exposure to a significant HR transformation programme and evolving HR operating model.

  • Work alongside an established and supportive HR Business Partner team.

  • Monday to Friday, 9am–5.30pm core hours.

  • Four days per week in the Glasgow office, with one flexible working-from-home day.

  • Some flexibility around working hours to accommodate personal commitments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience within a high-profile financial services environment, take ownership of meaningful casework and contribute to the development of a changing HR function.
