Senior HR Advisor Chorley | £35,000–£40,000 | DOE

Are you an ambitious HR professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact, take ownership and develop quickly?

I am working with a fast-growing organisation. They are looking for a confident Senior HR Advisor to join a small, evolving HR function and become a key partner to the HR leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants exposure to the full breadth of HR. You'll have significant autonomy across day-to-day People Operations, employee relations, manager support, HR processes and reporting, while also helping shape the culture and people agenda as the organisation grows.

The Role

Reporting into the senior HR lead, you'll take ownership of the operational HR agenda and act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day People Operations across the employee lifecycle.
• Providing hands-on HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
• Managing and supporting employee relations cases.
• Coaching and developing managers to improve confidence and capability.
• Supporting managers with performance management and people-related decisions.
• Producing HR reports and people data to support decision-making.
• Helping develop and improve HR policies, processes and procedures.
• Ensuring HR processes are consistent, efficient and fit for a growing business.
• Supporting the continued development of the company's culture, engagement and employee experience.
• Working closely with the wider People team, including the newly established L&D function.
• Supporting the implementation and development of a new HR system and exploring the use of AI to improve HR processes and employee support.
• Working alongside external employment law advisers where required.
• Getting involved in wider HR projects as the business and team continue to grow.

About You

We're looking for someone who is confident, energetic and genuinely passionate about HR.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a generalist HR or People Operations role.
• Strong knowledge of HR operations and the employee lifecycle.
• Experience supporting managers with employee relations and performance matters.
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• A genuine interest in improving processes and finding better ways of working.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.

You don't need to have specialised in one particular area of HR. In fact, this role would suit someone who enjoys doing a bit of everything and wants to build broad experience before progressing into management.
