A leading investment management firm in London is seeking a Head of Operations to guide its Operations function through an exciting period of growth and transformation. Shape and deliver a robust operating model that underpins the organisation’s expansion, combining reliable execution with a forward-thinking programme of operational change. You will be at the heart of a technology-first approach, building scalable infrastructure and driving automation across teams in London and India.

What you'll do:

• Guide the Operations function by setting strategic direction and being accountable for its performance, people management, controls, and ongoing development.
• Design and implement an operating model that supports organisational growth through reliable execution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adopt a technology-first approach to build scalable infrastructure that enables automation and enhances operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Technology, Data, Finance, and Investment teams to drive integration of systems and service providers.
• Lead a diverse team across London and India, providing hands-on support where required while building capacity and resilience within the function.
• Oversee outsourced providers by setting clear responsibilities, developing their capabilities, and holding them accountable for delivery.
• Remain close to operational detail to ensure high standards are maintained throughout all processes.
• Champion improvements in data quality by implementing robust controls and monitoring mechanisms.
• Develop programmes for operational change that align with business objectives and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Support the professional development of team members through mentoring, training opportunities, and inclusive leadership.

What you bring:

• Proven experience leading operations functions within financial services or investment management environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver operating models that support organisational growth through reliable execution and continuous improvement.
• Expertise in adopting technology-first approaches to build scalable infrastructure for automation.
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Technology, Data, Finance, and Investment.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations including international offices.
• Track record of overseeing outsourced providers by setting clear responsibilities and developing their capabilities.
• Ability to remain close to operational detail while providing hands-on support when necessary.
