Regulatory Reporting Analyst (SFTR)
A leading global asset manager is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join their Public and Private Fixed Income Operations team in London. * SFTR experience preferred. * Degree level education is preferred but not essential; relevant experience is highly valued. * At least three years’ experience in regulatory reporting within financial services or asset management environments. Must be immediately available.
What you'll do:
As a Regulatory Reporting Analyst within the Public and Private Fixed Income Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s global regulatory reporting obligations.
- Support all regulatory reporting obligations with a focus on EMIR, SFTR and ASIC regimes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and completeness.
- Analyse regulatory guidelines and collaborate directly with technology teams to define requirements and oversee implementation processes.
- Communicate identified regulatory issues with Operational Risk teams and work closely with internal stakeholders to address concerns and mitigate risks effectively.
- Complete testing in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments and monitor production systems for updates related to regulatory changes.
- Conduct monthly reviews of Kaizen reporting for accuracy findings and identify enhancements to reduce errors across MIFID II, EMIR EU/UK, SFTR, and ASIC.
- Manage and prioritise open items development lists in partnership with Technology teams to ensure timely resolution of outstanding tasks.
- Escalate complex issues requiring interpretation to legal and compliance departments for expert guidance.
- Review exceptions and breaks in reporting processes, providing effective resolutions to maintain data integrity.
- Perform EMIR Errors and Omissions calculations alongside detailed analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to client queries and regulatory requests while conducting monthly or quarterly data integrity checks.
- Review pairing and matching processes; collaborate with brokers to reduce breaks on reconciled fields for improved operational efficiency.
- Work directly with regulatory vendors by attending service calls and cross-train on Business As Usual (BAU) processes for broader team coverage.
What you bring:
- Degree level education is preferred but not essential; relevant experience is highly valued.
- At least three years’ experience in regulatory reporting within financial services or asset management environments.
- Comprehensive product knowledge across all Fixed Income Products including Bonds, Futures, Options, Derivatives; equities knowledge is not required.
- Essential expertise in EMIR Refit regulatory reporting; familiarity with SFTR is beneficial.
- Understanding of MIFID II Transaction T+1 regulatory reporting is desired but not mandatory; knowledge of MIFID II Post Trade reporting is also advantageous but not essential.
- Experience using Unavista platform is desirable though not compulsory; project management skills are highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills combined with excellent communication abilities enable you to manage multiple tasks efficiently across broad product spectrums.
- Analytical thinking paired with dependable problem-solving skills ensures accurate results even under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while delivering consistent outcomes; solid appreciation of business risk and operational controls enhances your effectiveness.
- Advanced Excel proficiency supports your analytical work; knowledge of Blackrock’s Aladdin system or DTCC repositories would be advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with Business Requirement Documentation (BRD) adds value; ideal candidates may come from operations or change management backgrounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensures accuracy; critical thinking skills support logical decision-making processes; written/verbal communication excellence fosters positive relationships throughout the organisation.
