Corporate and Commercial Loan Servicing Analyst
Salary: £50-55k
Location: City of London
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
What you'll do:
- Oversee the administration and safekeeping of Global Bonds as Common Depository by ensuring all processes are completed accurately and within required timeframes to maintain operational excellence.
- Process new issue closings efficiently by coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders such as issuers, lead managers, lawyers, and International Central Securities Depositories (ICSDs), ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion.
- Produce detailed periodical reports in line with agreed timelines to ensure transparency and compliance across all activities within Issuer Services, supporting robust audit trails.
- Maintain vault records meticulously to guarantee security and accuracy in all documentation related to bond issuance and safekeeping, upholding the highest standards of record-keeping.
- Compile evidence promptly when requested by the SI team to support audits or regulatory reviews, demonstrating responsiveness and thoroughness in compliance matters.
- Assist with new issue programme management for Euro Bond issues as Bond Agency representative by managing transactions up to signing and closing stages with precision and care.
- Ensure safe settlement of funds as Principal Paying Agent by monitoring payment flows closely and reconciling accounts with accuracy to protect client interests.
- Calculate interest rates for Floating Rate Notes (FRN) bonds as Calculation Agent using advanced Excel functions such as Vlookup, Pivot Tables, and Graphs to deliver precise results under tight deadlines.
- Liaise with Euroclear and external dealers as Issuing Agent to set up ISINs for new bonds efficiently and accurately, facilitating smooth market entry for clients.
- Supervise team members by coordinating query management, conducting one-to-one meetings alongside the line manager, managing diaries, checking payments, releasing funds, and fostering a supportive team environment that encourages growth.
What you bring:
- Substantial experience gained from previous roles within issuer services or bond agency environments within financial services is preferred; ideally spanning at least two years with hands-on involvement in bond issuance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to handle, analyse, interpret, and process large volumes of data accurately within strict timeframes while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel—including Vlookup functions, Pivot Tables, Graphs—and strong overall computer literacy across Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook is essential for success in this role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable you to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels as well as external stakeholders like issuers or legal advisors.
- Proven presentation skills that allow you to convey complex information clearly during meetings or training sessions are highly desirable.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential if balanced by relevant experience gained through practical work within similar environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with control-driven work habits that ensure accuracy even under pressure is vital for maintaining high standards across all tasks undertaken.
- Strong numerical aptitude enabling precise calculation of interest rates or reconciliation of payments without error is crucial for this analytical position.
- A calm approach when working under pressure coupled with excellent interpersonal skills that foster trust among team members is key for building positive relationships within the team.
