What you'll do:
You will be responsible for orchestrating the smooth functioning of multiple specialist teams handling complex transactions across physical energy products, base metals, precious metals trading and clearing activities. Your role will involve not only overseeing daily processes but also driving strategic improvements in collaboration with technology partners. You will champion best practices in risk management while ensuring your teams remain compliant with industry regulations. By nurturing talent and encouraging open communication across departments globally, you will help maintain the highest standards of accuracy in settlements and reconciliations. Required Skills, Experience, and Values:
- Education & Experience: Degree holder with 10+ years of senior-level operations leadership.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in commodities (precious, base, energy products) and familiarity with PRA/FCA regulations or equivalent.
- Technical & Risk Acumen: Strong understanding of risk/control frameworks and experience in business system ownership (prioritisation, requirement sign-off).
- IT Proficiency: Competent in relevant IT systems.
