Financial Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified accountant to join a successful international business in a broad and varied financial accounting role.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will gain exposure to treasury, statutory reporting, tax compliance and month-end accounting while continuing your professional studies.

This role would suit someone currently studying ACCA, ACA or CIMA who is looking to move into a more technical financial accounting position with excellent long-term progression prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Produce regular cashflow reports and forecasting analysis
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations
• Assist with VAT returns and other compliance submissions
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and audit schedules
• Liaise with external auditors and advisors
• Assist with maintaining financial controls and governance processes
• Support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor accounting data and investigate variances where required

About You

• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Previous experience in a financial accounting, management accounting, audit or finance analyst position
• Understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Motivated to continue developing your technical accounting expertise
