Management Accountant 12 month Fixed-Term Contract Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Location: Birmingham Contract: Fixed-Term Contract

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a fixed-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a successful and growing organisation, supporting key business decisions through the delivery of accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insight.

Working within a collaborative finance function, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and stakeholder support, helping to drive financial performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and accompanying commentary.
• Prepare and analyse financial performance reports, highlighting key variances and trends.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Deliver meaningful financial insights to support business decision-making.
• Assist with cashflow forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Work closely with operational and non-finance stakeholders to understand performance drivers.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist with audit requirements and compliance-related activities.
• Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification (or be actively studying towards qualification).
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and confidence working with financial systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
