We have partnered with a global organisation, who are looking to hire an experienced Financial Controls Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial controls across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Role overview:

As the Financial Controls Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring robust governance and compliance across financial systems and processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on optimal control frameworks to promote good governance and drive improvements.
  • Leading relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and External Audit teams.
  • Monitoring compliance with Internal Control in Financial Reporting (ICFR) and delivering updates to senior leadership.
  • Reviewing and refining control frameworks, standing instructions, and approval authority processes to ensure alignment with business needs.

What we’re looking for:

  • Audit trained qualified accountant (ACA/CA or equivalent), either with 2-4 years industry experience within a controls focussed role, or at Manager/Senior Manager level, looking to make their first move into industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of finance systems and excellent project management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with non-finance teams on control related matters, partnered with excellent business partnering and communication skills.
  • A natural analytical thinker, with strong problem-solving abilities.
