Interim Finance Business Partner

Commercial Finance Business Partner – Six-Month FTC Location:Glossop Salary: £60,000- 65,000 Working pattern: 2days onsite

Robert Walters is recruiting a Commercial Finance Business Partner for a consumer products business on a six-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will partner with commercial and operational teams, providing insight and challenge to improve profitability and support business decisions.

This opportunity would suit a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys analysing performance, influencing stakeholders and translating financial data into practical recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse revenue and margin performance by product range against budget and prior year.
• Identify profitability drivers through price, volume, mix and rate analysis.
• Produce commercial reporting, trade packs and management accounts inputs for a key retail account.
• Evaluate pricing proposals, promotional investment and rebate claims.
• Support product range planning, challenging assumptions and assessing financial impact.
• Build phased budgets and monthly forecasts from revenue through to net margin, including SKU-level detail.
• Highlight risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve performance.
• Maintain and enhance Power BI reporting.
• Support long-range planning and ad hoc commercial projects.

About you

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA OR QBE
• Proven commercial finance business partnering experience.
• Experience within FMCG or consumer products.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in forecasting, budgeting and margin analysis.
• Confident using Power BI.
• Able to communicate clearly, challenge constructively and build effective stakeholder relationships.
