Interim Finance Transformation

This role will work closely with the CFO, Finance Director and wider leadership team to assess current finance operations, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver lasting change that enhances the effectiveness, efficiency and scalability of the finance function.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating strategically whilst remaining hands-on in delivery, bringing both technical finance expertise and strong change management capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver finance transformation initiatives aligned to wider business objectives.
• Review and assess existing finance processes, controls, systems and reporting frameworks, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Deliver process optimisation across core finance activities, reducing inefficiencies and increasing standardisation.
• Improve month-end close, management reporting and financial planning processes to enhance speed, quality and insight.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and risk management frameworks.
• Drive automation initiatives, reducing manual processes and improving data integrity.
• Support finance system implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects.
• Develop scalable finance processes capable of supporting future growth.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to define transformation priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Ensure successful adoption of new ways of working through effective stakeholder engagement and change management.
• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor and evidence programme success.
• Coach and develop finance teams to ensure sustainable improvements are embedded within the organisation.
