Finance Manager – Outsourced Services

Finance Manager – Outsourced Services 12 Month FTC I'm working with a leading professional services firm looking to appoint an Interim Manager within its CFO Solutions team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and playing a key role in the delivery and development of outsourced finance services.

You'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality finance services while helping to develop a modern, technology-led offering centred around Xero and automation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors, acting as a trusted point of contact.

• Overseeing the delivery and review of management accounts, statutory accounts and VAT returns.

• Leading client onboarding and more complex assignments, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met.

• Reviewing technical work, identifying risks and supporting the resolution of technical accounting and VAT queries.

• Driving the implementation and development of Xero and associated finance applications.

• Managing, mentoring and developing a team, including workflow planning, resource allocation and scheduling.

• Overseeing billing, working capital, fee recovery and overall commercial performance.

• Supporting business development activities, proposals and client presentations.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Proven experience within an outsourced accounting, finance or business services environment.

• Strong technical knowledge across management accounts, statutory accounts and VAT.

• Experience reviewing work and managing client deliverables.

• Previous team management and development experience.

• Practical experience with Xero and associated applications, or a genuine interest in driving technology-led finance solutions.

• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

• A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of billing, budgets and recoverability.

ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
