Strategic Finance Manager

Robert Walters – Finance Manager (M&A) – Permanent – Hybrid – Solihull - £70,000 - £80,000 per annum Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager with strong M&A exposure to support financial leadership, strategic decision-making, and value creation across the business. Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

• Lead and support financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestments, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide high-quality financial analysis and insights to support strategic and commercial decisions.
• Oversee month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely management reporting.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to drive financial performance.
• Review and improve financial controls, processes, and systems.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors and advisors.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost optimisation, and value creation across the group.

Key essentials of the Finance Manager:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role with demonstrable M&A exposure.
• Strong financial modelling, analysis, and commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
