My client, one of the North West's fastest growing property companies, are looking to recruit a commercial savvy Investment Analyst to join their stunning head office in Manchester City Centre.

As an Investment Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting developers within a major joint venture, contributing to the regeneration of historic sites and the creation of sustainable homes and workspaces.

You will immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic property developer focused on social impact. Your responsibilities will centre around managing sophisticated financial models that underpin development appraisals and business plans.

You will produce quarterly reports tailored to investor requirements, track performance metrics over time, and ensure all valuation data is accurately represented. By researching market trends and integrating these insights into your analyses, you will help shape strategic decisions that drive sustainable regeneration projects.

  • Take ownership of complex financial models used for development appraisals and business plans, ensuring they are robust and fit for purpose.
  • Produce detailed quarterly reports based on investor criteria, tracking changes over time and maintaining consistency in format and layout.
  • Check valuation data meticulously to ensure accurate reflection in all reports produced for stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough research into market trends and integrate findings into appraisals and financial reports to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure base assumptions are consistent across the portfolio or provide clear explanations when variations occur.
  • Undertake comprehensive financial due diligence for new projects and ongoing developments.
  • Identify errors and anomalies in reports by applying your excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at every stage.
  • Develop financial models for additional projects as required by the business, adapting existing frameworks to meet evolving needs.
  • Collaborate closely with developers within the joint venture, offering real support in preparing investment proposals.
  • Work alongside other finance professionals to deliver high-quality reporting against proposals, contributing to the overall success of regeneration initiatives.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience as a financial modeller with extremely strong Excel skills including proficiency in Macros.
  • Prior experience within property investment/fund management or similar is essential.
  • CFA qualification or equivalent.
  • Exceptional eye for detail enabling you to identify inconsistencies or errors within complex reports.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research into property market trends and integrate findings into financial appraisals.
  • Strong understanding of valuation principles relevant to property development projects.
  • Proven capability in producing accurate quarterly reports based on investor criteria and tracking changes over time.
  • Experience undertaking comprehensive financial due diligence for new projects or ongoing developments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to collaborate effectively with developers and finance professionals within large joint ventures.
  • Interest in sustainable development and urban regeneration initiatives that prioritise community outcomes.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and professionalism in all aspects of your work.
