What you'll do:
As a Transaction Services Assistant Manager or Executive based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Corporate Finance team’s advisory activities.
- Assist Partners and Directors with the delivery of buy-side advisory services and preparation of comprehensive financial due diligence reports for corporate, private equity, and banking clients.
- Plan and execute Transaction Services assignments according to agreed scope and standards, ensuring clear communication with senior stakeholders throughout each project.
- Manage time and costs effectively to remain within budget parameters, proactively notifying leadership if adjustments are required.
- Understand client specifications in detail and report any changes or potential additional services promptly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Discuss findings and issues directly with clients while providing thoughtful solutions tailored to their needs.
- Respond empathetically and appropriately to client requirements, fostering strong professional relationships built on trust and understanding.
- Network actively within the firm and externally to build connections, generate leads for the team, and cross-sell Corporate Finance services across departments.
- Prepare insightful financial and commercial analysis that clearly communicates key issues in an accessible manner.
- Advise clients on acquisitions and investments including SPA reviews, completion mechanisms, price adjustments, and related matters.
- Coordinate input from specialist teams across the firm to consolidate reports into concise key findings that support decision-making processes.
What you bring:
To excel as a Transaction Services Assistant Manager or Executive in this organisation’s Corporate Finance team, you will bring proven experience in transaction services gained through previous roles at accounting firms or boutique corporate finance consultancies.
- Degree educated or equivalent qualification demonstrating academic rigour relevant to corporate finance roles.
- ACA qualification or equivalent professional certification reflecting advanced accounting expertise.
- Working knowledge of Transaction Services gained within an Accounting Firm or Corporate Finance Boutique environment.
- Proven experience conducting financial due diligence assignments for diverse client portfolios.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel models enabling robust financial analysis and scenario planning.
- Ability to contribute meaningfully during client meetings by proactively identifying opportunities for advice or value-add services.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite—especially Excel and PowerPoint—for effective report preparation and presentation.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills coupled with clear communication abilities that facilitate relationship-building across teams and clients.
- Networking skills combined with results-oriented mindset allowing recognition of cross-selling opportunities within the firm.
