This role offers you the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing essential financial, analytical, and business support to drive sound decision-making and profitable growth.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver commercial insight and analytical support for projects, process changes, and investment appraisals including post-investment reviews by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyse investment opportunities and provide accounting data throughout project lifecycles, acquisitions, and transitions into business as usual while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Challenge and support the Management Team on business performance issues by conducting root cause analysis and offering guidance on corrective actions in a constructive manner.
  • Develop and utilise management information systems to evaluate current business performance, drive improved profitability, and inform strategic decisions across the organisation.
  • Support rollout and usage of self-serve tools in agreed business areas by partnering with key stakeholders to enhance efficiency and accessibility of financial data.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned business areas in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Monitor market developments and assess their potential impact on operations by providing timely updates and actionable insights to inform business planning.
  • Identify emerging trends in revenue, margin, and cost for designated areas of the business by quantifying their impact on profit and cash flow through detailed analysis.
  • Produce ad hoc management information reports tailored to support business decision-making needs as required by various departments.
  • Undertake other tasks as needed, contributing flexibly to team goals while supporting organisational priorities.

What you bring:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification is essential for demonstrating your technical expertise in accounting standards and practices.
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in financial analysis and decision support gained through commercial roles across industry sectors is required.
  • Proven ability to propose, justify, initiate, and implement change at all levels within an organisation while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience building sound business cases that align with organisational objectives is highly valued.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments without compromising quality or accuracy is crucial.
  • Demonstrated skill in performing root cause analysis as well as developing process improvements and robust controls enhances your suitability for this position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for relationship building; you must be able to challenge constructively while supporting colleagues from different functions.
  • Excellent communication skills—including written reports, verbal presentations, negotiation techniques—are vital for influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) is expected; familiarity with financial systems such as SAP is desirable.
