Role details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Manager to join a growing and commercially driven organisation. This role sits at the heart of the business, partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making. Working alongside senior leadership, you will take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, providing clear insight into revenue, margins, and profitability across key commercial areas. You will play a pivotal role in influencing decision-making, supporting pricing strategies, and identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operational teams to provide financial insight and support strategic initiatives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes across commercial functions.
    Provide detailed variance analysis, highlighting key risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
  • Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and profitability analysis across products and customers.
  • Develop financial models to support investment decisions and commercial proposals.
    Monitor key performance indicators such as revenue, margin, and cost drivers to track business performance.
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports, dashboards, and commentary for leadership teams.
  • Challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure commercially sound decision-making.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency across commercial operations.
  • Support strategic projects, including market expansion, product development, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team.

What the successful candidate will bring

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Proven experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively.
