Head of Finance

Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:

• Lead the financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the business.
• Take ownership of the SOX control environment, ensuring controls are robust, appropriately documented and operating effectively.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information and deliver high-quality reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the finance team, providing coaching, support and clear direction.
• Oversee month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge.
• Maintain a strong financial control and governance environment.
• Support internal and external audit requirements, including SOX compliance and remediation activity.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and support wider finance transformation initiatives.
• Ensure finance policies, processes and documentation remain accurate and up to date.

Key essentials of the Head of Finance:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Strong, demonstrable SOX experience is essential.
• Significant experience within financial control, reporting and governance.
• Strong people leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
