Financial Controller / Head of Finance - Multi Site

An established and growing multi-site organisation is looking for a commercially minded, fully qualified Financial Controller to take ownership of its operational finance function. As the #1 person in finance, you’ll provide strong financial control, improve reporting and processes, lead a team of nine and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of day-to-day financial control, transaction processing, group consolidations and statutory reporting.
• Lead the production of accurate monthly management accounts and weekly KPIs, providing meaningful commercial commentary.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, financial systems, controls and management information.
• Lead the year-end audit and ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Manage rolling 12-week cash flow forecasting, working capital and treasury reporting.
• Oversee lender, banking and other stakeholder reporting, including covenant compliance.
• Support the CEO with financial analysis, business cases, funding discussions and acquisition activity.
• Lead the financial integration of newly acquired businesses or services.
• Track post-acquisition performance against investment cases.
• Lead and develop a nine-person finance team, setting clear expectations, processes and development plans.
• Identify and mitigate financial and commercial risks while supporting strong governance across the business.
• Continue to improve the systems, processes and reporting infrastructure of the finance function.

What you'll bring

• Fully qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant post-qualification experience in a senior financial control or finance leadership role.
• Experience working within a sizeable or complex organisation.
• Strong technical accounting, consolidation, reporting and financial control capability.
• Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions and post-acquisition integration.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, lenders and investors.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, corporate tax and modern finance/ERP systems.
• A hands-on, commercially aware approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A stable career history, with a track record of committing to previous roles.

• £80,000–£90,000 salary, depending on experience.
• Up to 25% bonus, negotiable depending on experience.
• Significant responsibility and visibility within the organisation.

Working pattern

100% office-based, working from the company's offices in Leicestershire.
