Head of Finance

Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:

• Lead the finance function, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and KPI reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee cashflow management, working capital, and treasury activities.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, controls, and reporting.
• Manage the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and advisors.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and governance requirements.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Support business growth initiatives, investment projects, and strategic planning activities.
• Provide detailed analysis on financial performance, profitability, and business opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, contributing to the overall business strategy.

Key essentials of the Head of Finance:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of developing finance teams.
