This role offers you the chance to become an integral part of a collaborative and supportive environment, where your attention to detail and methodical approach will be highly valued. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions, contributing directly to the financial operations of a diverse investment and development portfolio that includes commercial business parks, residential developments, and large-scale office projects. With a focus on continuous improvement, this position is perfect for someone who enjoys working within a shared services model and is eager to help implement best-in-class processes and systems. Flexible working opportunities, generous pension contributions, and ongoing training are just some of the benefits you can expect as you grow your career in this dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:

* Review, verify, and match invoices with meticulous attention to ensure accuracy before processing.

* Ensure purchase invoices are processed promptly and settled within agreed timelines to maintain positive supplier relationships.

* Accurately enter sales and purchase ledger data into the accounting system while maintaining up-to-date records for audit purposes.

* Set up new accounts for customers and vendors efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant.

* Audit and process employee expense claims for payment, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures.

* Post bank transactions daily and perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and current.

* Prepare aged debtors and creditors reports regularly, monitoring outstanding balances and following up as required.

* Manage the shared accounts mailbox by responding promptly to queries from vendors or internal stakeholders.

* Open and distribute finance post efficiently while supporting weekly payment runs for timely settlements.

* Raise intercompany and customer invoices for property management fees or ad-hoc recharges, overseeing annual ground rent billing processes.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and receivable practices with at least three years’ relevant purchase ledger experience in a similar environment.

* Excellent analytical skills paired with exceptional attention to detail when processing financial transactions or preparing reports.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel along with familiarity using other software such as PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for effective reporting and communication.

* Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable but not essential; willingness to learn new systems is important.

* Ability to identify opportunities for system enhancements that improve reporting timeliness or process efficiency within the finance function.

* Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to build effective relationships with both internal colleagues and external vendors or clients.

* A collaborative mindset with proven ability to work well within teams while also being dependable when working independently on assigned tasks.

* Clear communication skills allowing you to articulate deliverables or requirements effectively across different stakeholder groups.

* A methodical approach combined with the capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines without compromising quality standards.

* Alignment with cultural values such as collaboration, respectfulness, progressiveness, authenticity, and inclusivity.
