Billing Supervisor
Join a growing and forward-thinking organisation as a Billing Supervisor on a six-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced billing professional to take a lead role within a busy finance function, overseeing billing operations and supporting a high-performing team. The role offers excellent flexibility, with hybrid working requiring just one day per week in the office and the remainder working from home.
You will be joining a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Billing Supervisor to manage and oversee its day-to-day billing operations. This is an important position within the finance function, offering the opportunity to lead and develop a team of billing professionals while working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to ensure billing activities are delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
This is a full-time, six-month temporary opportunity, with just one day per week required in the office. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily billing activity across a portfolio of clients, monitoring performance against agreed targets and KPIs, maintaining billing quality and accuracy, resolving complex billing queries and disputes, and ensuring invoices are processed and issued on time. You will also liaise with internal stakeholders to address billing issues, maintain accurate client and contract records, produce performance reports and ensure all activities comply with internal controls and procedures.
A key element of the position will be driving continuous improvement across the billing function. This will involve identifying recurring issues, investigating underlying causes and implementing improvements to existing processes and controls. You will also be responsible for coaching, supporting and developing Billing Specialists and Senior Billing Specialists, helping to drive performance, consistency and high service standards across the team.
To be successful, you will have proven experience within billing, accounts receivable or Order-to-Cash, ideally supported by previous experience leading or supervising a billing team. Exposure to a shared services or high-volume finance environment would be particularly beneficial. You should have a strong understanding of billing processes, invoice management and complex query resolution, alongside excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
This opportunity would suit a confident and hands-on billing professional who enjoys leading people, resolving operational challenges and identifying opportunities to improve processes. Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills are essential, together with a proactive and collaborative approach.
The role offers a highly flexible hybrid working arrangement, with just one day per week required in the office and the remaining four days worked from home. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a six-month contract within a supportive finance environment, offering both responsibility and flexibility.
