As a German Speaking Credit Controller based in Greater Manchester you will be entrusted with managing customer accounts to maximise cash collection while minimising risk. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining accurate records of debt collection activities, collaborating with your team leader for guidance on resolving issues, assisting colleagues when workloads fluctuate, and continuously seeking ways to improve departmental efficiency.

Key duties include:

• Maintain a proactive approach to collecting outstanding debt from customers to ensure collection targets are consistently met.
• Keep accurate records of all chasing activities and payment promises made by customers to facilitate effective account management.
• Take guidance from your team leader to resolve issues efficiently and ensure smooth operations within the credit control team.
• Assist other team members with their workload when required to foster a supportive and collaborative working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement by reducing the number of days debts remain overdue through effective monitoring and follow-up.
• Eliminate non-value added tasks from your daily activities to enhance efficiency within your role.
• Manage and monitor new customer account setups, including setting and controlling credit limits in accordance with company policy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues to promote trust and cooperation across departments.
• Oversee your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring outstanding debts are collected promptly and escalated appropriately when necessary.
• Work closely with operational teams across the group to share information and provide assistance on ad hoc projects as needed.
