Credit Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an up-and-coming business in Manchester as an end-to-end Credit Controller. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £30,000 per annum and the chance to work as part of a brand-new finance function that is set to experience significant growth over the next 18 months.

Based in central Manchester, the position operates on a hybrid working model with one day per week from home. As the first hire in this growing team, you’ll be in pole position for future progression opportunities, making it an ideal role for someone who is career-focused and looking for a challenge.

The role will give you exposure to the full Accounts Receivable process, allowing you to take ownership of customer accounts, ensure invoices are paid on time, chase outstanding balances, resolve queries, and collaborate with internal teams to keep accounts running smoothly. You’ll also have the option to assist on the Accounts Payable side, further broadening your skillset. There’s scope to contribute to process improvements and support reporting and month-end tasks, making this a varied and rewarding position. Study support options may also be available in the future, providing further opportunities for professional development.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need previous experience in credit control or debt recovery, strong Excel skills (including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables), excellent communication abilities, and great attention to detail. A proactive approach and the ability to work under pressure are essential. A full UK driving licence is required due to occasional travel needs. Knowledge of Business Central and Order-to-Cash processes would be advantageous but not essential.
