An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a leading international business on a 12 month fixed-term contract, supporting finance operations across the EMEA region.
This role offers the chance to join a fast paced, collaborative finance team responsible for processing high volumes of transactions across multiple entities. You'll gain exposure to a large multinational environment while playing a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Maintain supplier accounts and resolve invoice, payment and account queries
- Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox and action requests within agreed timescales
- Review and validate purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Assist with weekly payment runs and supplier payment processing
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain vendor records
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support month end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth invoice processing and approvals
- Assist with reporting requirements and ad hoc finance projects as required
Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements
- Previous experience within Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger
- Comfortable working in a high volume transactional environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of accounting transactions and finance processes
- Experience working with multi-currency transactions would be beneficial
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- SAP experience would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience within an FMCG, retail, manufacturing or similarly fast paced business environment
