Accounts Assistant

Joining the UK Finance team on a temporary contract, you will contribute to key finance processes across multiple entities, collaborating with colleagues in the UK, Europe, and the US. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their skills and progress toward a management accounting position.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support various finance processes while working closely with international teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing intercompany transactions, payments, and reconciliations.
• Performing bank reconciliations and freight forwarder reconciliations for the UK.
• Supporting Accounts Payable activities, including invoice booking and payment preparation.
• Assisting with stock counts, audits, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintaining the trademark asset register and assisting with VAT returns.
• Ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements.
• Contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives within the finance function.

What You’ll Bring:

• Currently studying towards an accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience using SAP or similar accounting systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Confident communicator who is comfortable working across regions and organisational levels.
• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• A genuine interest in fashion and the brands supported by this role.
