An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and driven Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team within a rapidly expanding Tech company. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building processes, enjoys analysing data to inform business decisions, and can handle core month-end duties with precision. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and a dynamic Finance team, in a fast-paced environment that offers ample opportunities for growth and development.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Assistant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the growth of our client's organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include understanding business expenses, preparing and managing accruals and prepayments, as well as accurately coding bank transactions. You will also be tasked with maintaining the expense management system, analysing expenditure trends, and collaborating with the finance team to reduce outstanding debtors. This role offers you the chance to develop your skills in comprehensive balance sheet analysis, cash flow analyses, forecasts, reporting, debtor collections, and more.

* Understand business expenses and ensure accurate coding

* Prepare and manage accruals and prepayments

* Analyse spending to optimise costs and identify savings opportunities

* Accurately code bank transactions into the business accounts

* Reconcile records with the bank on a monthly basis

* Ensure the expense management system is maintained and up to date

* Collaborate with the finance team to reduce outstanding debtors by contacting customers and ensuring prompt payments

You should have the ability to handle sensitive financial information discreetly while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
