Interim Accountant

Interim Accountant Location: Warrington, three days onsite per week Benefits: 10% bonus, employee discounts Target start: Within four weeks

An established international business is seeking an Interim Management Accountant to support its logistics finance function.

This role connects transactional finance with management accounting, improving the accuracy of freight and duty costs, invoice reporting and month-end accruals. You will join a developing team with opportunities to broaden your management accounting experience.

Key responsibilities

• Match and reconcile freight and duty invoices, investigating discrepancies.

• Monitor invoice volumes and outstanding charges.

• Provide accurate month-end cost information and support accrual calculations.

• Work closely with accounts payable and management accountants to resolve queries.

• Identify improvements to processes, controls and reporting.

About you

• ACCA/CIMA or equivalent or QBE

• Sound understanding of management accounting principles and month-end processes.

• Strong attention to detail and confidence investigating financial information.

• Naturally curious, proactive and able to demonstrate examples of improving processes.

• Retail experience is not required.
