Interim Financial Controller

Financial Controller | 12-month FTC Location: Greater Manchester Salary: £80,000–£115,000 per annum Start: Immediate Working pattern: Five days onsite, with potential flexibility to four days, subject to agreement.

An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance team and partner with senior operational leaders.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity with responsibility for financial performance, robust controls and delivering insight that supports operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the site finance team.

• Partner with the Director and operational heads to challenge performance and identify savings.

• Own month-end reporting, balance sheet integrity, budgeting and forecasting.

• Oversee manufacturing costs, labour, materials and utilities.

• Manage product costing, inventory controls and working capital.

• Support capital investment proposals and track benefits.

• Maintain strong financial controls and audit readiness.

About you

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA

• Experienced in manufacturing, FMCG or a complex operational environment.

• Strong cost accounting, planning and business partnering skills.

• Proven team leadership experience.

• Confident using Excel and SAP or a similar ERP.
