Financial Accountant

~~Robert Walters – Financial Accountant – Permanent – Hybrid – Solihull – Up to £65,000 per annum~~ Our client, an established international business and leader within its sector, is seeking a talented Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience, gain exposure to senior stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping financial controls, compliance, reporting and cashflow management within a dynamic finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reporting and compliance activities.
• Manage statutory reporting requirements and liaise with external advisors and stakeholders as required.
• Monitor cash flow and support forecasting activities to ensure effective financial planning.
• Assist with treasury-related activities, including cash management, banking relationships and financial controls.
• Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate external audit requirements and provide information to auditors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial controls, governance frameworks and accounting processes.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, business projects and process improvement activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness across finance operations.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Provide guidance, support and knowledge sharing within the wider finance team where appropriate.

Key Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
• Experience within financial accounting, reporting or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and compliance requirements.
