Finance Assistant

This would suit someone with a good grounding in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, who is comfortable with the day-to-day side of finance and enjoys being involved across different areas rather than focusing on just one process.

They are looking for a Finance Assistant who wants to become a long-term part of the business and play an important role within the finance team. Their current Finance Assistant is leaving in October, so they are keen to bring someone in beforehand to allow for a proper handover and give the successful person the opportunity to learn the business properly.

The client is looking for someone with a good all-round transactional finance background, particularly across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. They want someone who is comfortable getting involved in the day-to-day finance function, from processing payments and completing bank reconciliations through to supporting with month-end and liaising with suppliers. There is also an element of manual payment processing, so they are looking for someone who is confident working accurately and taking ownership of their work.

They want someone who is genuinely looking for a company where they can stay, build relationships, become a trusted member of the team and develop their responsibilities over time. They’re looking for someone dependable, hands-on and commercially aware who will get stuck in and become an important part of the finance function.

The role is fully office-based, 5 days a week, so they are looking for someone who is comfortable with that environment and enjoys being part of a team.
