Accounts Assistant

We’re recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established organisation in Liverpool, offering an excellent opportunity for a junior finance professional to develop their accounting career within a supportive and collaborative team.

The Role

You’ll support the wider finance team across a range of accounting duties, with bank reconciliations being a key part of the role.

Responsibilities include:

• Completing and investigating bank reconciliations

• Journals, accruals and prepayments

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Supporting month-end and year-end

• General accounting and financial administration

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong bank reconciliation experience

• Good all-round junior accounting knowledge

• Experience as an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or Junior Accountant

• Strong attention to detail and Excel skills

• AAT/ACCA/CIMA study is advantageous but not essential
