Financial Accountant (6-Month FTC) Manchester | Immediate Start | c.£50,000 + benefits

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful, listed financial services business during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This is a well-established, market-leading organisation with a strong reputation in its sector, known for combining commercial agility with the stability and career credibility of a FTSE-listed environment. With continued investment across the business and an ambitious growth agenda, they are looking to appoint a finance professional to support the team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Based in Manchester at a modern office location, this role will initially require 5 days per week onsite to support onboarding and team integration, before moving to a hybrid pattern of 3 days in the office.

The Role

This is a varied and commercially focused finance position offering exposure across reporting, forecasting and business partnering. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting management reporting and preparation of monthly business review packs
• Producing cost centre reporting and financial analysis for senior stakeholders
• Cashflow forecasting and treasury reporting
• Month-end accounting including accruals, prepayments, revenue and tax adjustments
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the fixed asset register
• Building and maintaining financial models to support decision-making
• Providing ad hoc project support during a busy period of change
• Partnering with teams across the business to provide insight and challenge

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Circa 1+ years PQE
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS
• Previous experience in a large corporate or listed business would be advantageous
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong Excel / modelling capability with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders
