The Role
As Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing the group balance sheet, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards. You will support statutory reporting processes at both group and entity level, while contributing to improvements in reporting quality and financial governance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting preparation and review of consolidated and statutory accounts
- Enhancing the quality of financial disclosures
- Assisting with year-end processes, including audit coordination
- Producing technical accounting papers for internal and external stakeholders
- Overseeing capital asset processes and ensuring appropriate capitalisation
- Acting as a key contact for revenue recognition matters
- Strengthening balance sheet review processes across the business
- Supporting budgeting processes and month-end reconciliations
- Contributing to process improvements and financial control enhancements
- Assisting with financial risk management and reporting
About You
- (ACA / ACCA)
- Background in audit (Top 10 firm preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience with consolidations and statutory reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively
- Confident communicator with experience engaging stakeholders
