Robert Walters among most trustworthy companies in Europe

Robert Walters has been named one of the 50 most trusted companies in Western Europe by Forbes magazine.

The study, conducted in partnership with MSCI ESG Research, ranks companies in the region based on accountant and governance practices, identified the top 50 companies from an original shortlist of 1,400 non-financial firms.

Each company is assessed on their AGR (Accounting, Governance, Risk) rating; a composite score determined by a range of factors including high risk behaviours such as regulatory actions, amended filings, revenue and expense recognition methods, and bankruptcy risk.

"We are deeply committed to maintaining a highly responsible and transparent approach to corporate governance and financial reporting, and we're delighted to have been recognised in this way," commented Chris Hickey, CEO - UK Middle East and Africa.

Robert Walters governance plays key role in recognition

Corporate governance is a key factor in determining the ranking companies receive in the awards, with businesses which score low in this category being automatically disqualified, regardless of their score in other areas.

"We believe that our commitment to responsible corporate behaviour has played a key role in our success, enabling us not only to build strong relationships with our shareholders, but also helping us establish a positive reputation among our clients and candidates," Chris Hickey added.
