An exciting opportunity has arisen for a FP&A Analyst to join a thriving retail organisation in the heart of Manchester City Centre. The Role

As FP&A Analyst, you’ll be central to the organisation’s financial planning process—preparing forecasts, analysing results, and providing insights that guide senior decision-making. You’ll build financial models, support month-end activities, and deliver clear reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. Working cross-functionally, you’ll play a key role in identifying risks, opportunities, and improvements that enhance overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans in collaboration with multiple departments
  • Analyse monthly performance against budget/forecast, highlighting variances and providing commentary
  • Support month-end reporting through reconciliations and analysis
  • Develop financial models to assess investments, initiatives, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
  • Monitor KPIs across the business, spotting trends and recommending action
  • Drive process improvements within the finance function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and reporting standards

About You

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis within a commercial environment
  • Strong Excel/modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage both finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Experience supporting month-end close processes
  • Familiarity with ERP/financial systems (desirable
