A top-tier international law firm is seeking a newly qualified (NQ) associate to join its leading UK tax practice in London. This highly ranked team advises on some of the most complex and high-profile tax mandates in the market, across both advisory and contentious matters.

Overview of the Practice:

This UK tax team is recognised for excellence in corporate tax, tax disputes, and cross-border matters. The practice advises major corporate clients, financial institutions, and private capital clients on a wide range of transactions and disputes. The firm is consistently ranked Band 1 in key legal directories for both UK Tax and Contentious Tax work, as well as for its international capabilities.

Key Areas of Work:

• Corporate & Private Capital: Advising on M&A (public and private), IPOs, demergers, restructurings, joint ventures, and private capital transactions.

• Finance & Restructuring: Working on equity and debt financing, corporate restructurings, and innovative refinancing solutions.

• Real Estate: Advising on the tax aspects of commercial property transactions for investors, developers, lenders, and funds.

• Tax Disputes: Representing clients in major UK and international disputes, both in and out of court.

The team operates with a strong international outlook and regularly handles multi-jurisdictional mandates.

Candidate Profile:

• Newly qualified solicitor (England & Wales or common law qualified)

• Strong academic background

• Interest in UK corporate tax

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Motivated, collaborative and commercially aware
