About the Role We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a skilled engineering team at a large manufacturing facility in the Bristol area. The role involves attending to breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting crane improvement projects across the site. You'll be working Monday-Friday day shifts with an early finish on a Friday!

Key Technical Skills

  • Experience in planned and preventive maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems (sensors, limit switches, motors, brakes, electrical distribution).
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Basic PLC/Inverter experience is advantageous.
  • General mechanical skills (e.g., replacing bearings, wheels, load ropes); bench fitting/welding skills are desirable.
  • Previous experience in the crane industry is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Requirements

  • Time-served Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 3 with a minimum of 3 years on-site experience.
  • Comfortable working at height and physically capable.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety, work standards, and site rules.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with safe systems of work (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work, Isolations).
  • Ability to build and maintain customer-facing relationships.
