Legal Counsel - £60-70k - 3mth FTC

FTSE-listed professional services company based in Central London are looking to hire a commercial lawyer to the position of Legal Counsel to cover for an initial three month period due to high work volumes. The offices are in Central London and this will be on the basis of a hybrid-working model. You will ideally be available to start w/c Sep 1st (latest Sep 8th)

About The Role

Working in a friendly, dynamic and well-respected legal team, the Legal Counsel will be given responsibility for a broad remit of work, including the following:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating client and supplier terms & conditions
• Acting as a key point of contact for contractual queries from the sales & operations teams
• Ad-hoc legal advice in relation to other areas of law such as employment, technology and data protection
• Delivering training to employees on key legislative developments
• Involvement in legal strategy related to expansion projects that the business is pursuing

About You

This role is ideally suited to a qualified solicitor between 1-3 PQE, although all profiles will be considered on merit. As well as England & Wales qualified solicitors, applications from lawyers admitted in other common law jurisdictions (such as Australia and New Zealand)will also be considered.

You must have some experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts. Applications coming from candidates in private practice and in-house will be welcomed.
