Senior Management Accountant

We are working with a FTSE listed business to find a new Senior Management Accountant to join the team in their central London offices on a hybrid working basis. This pivotal role is designed for someone who thrives on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while building meaningful connections across business functions.

As the Senior Management Accountant, you will be at the heart of the finance function responsible for preparing comprehensive management accounts, reviewing key financial results, and ensuring all data is accurate. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders, and be essential in supporting audit processes, maintaining compliance of internal controls and being part of statutory reporting.

Key remits to the role will include;

  • Prepare and review monthly financial results including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data through strong reconciliations and journal reviews.
  • Support the statutory reporting process and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks
  • Work closely with regional and client stakeholders to provide insight and recommendations.
  • Translate financial data into operationally relevant commentary.
  • Contribute to forecast and budgeting cycles through financial input and analysis.
  • Collaborate with client teams to understand and analyse revenue, margin, and cost trends
  • Support continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting templates.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity in ERP and other reporting systems.

The Ideal candidate will be;

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Demonstrable experience in management accounting, controls, and audit support.
  • Strong Excel and ERP systems experience.
  • Ability to explain finance concepts to non-finance audiences.
