Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a Listed professional services business in London, The role will be working on the outsourced side of the business that operates within consultancy, advisory, market intelligence and RPO.

The role will initially be working with the US operations and then also across EMEA and will be an opportunity to come into a FTSE listed business and make a mark.

This management accountant role will be a blend of hands on accounts preperation, leading on month end along with significant business partnering with the operations teams. You will also be encouraged to lead on process optimisation and systems improvements.

Key Remits to the role;

• Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals and prepayments as part of the month-end close process to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations each month to maintain data integrity and support robust financial controls.
• Assist in preparing comprehensive monthly reporting packs, insightful commentary, and clear dashboards for senior management review.
• Maintain thorough documentation and provide essential support for internal controls to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Support the tracking of revenue, direct costs, and margin across multiple client accounts to help optimise profitability.
• Assist with variance analysis, billing validation processes, and client profitability reporting to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• Proactively identify potential issues related to revenue assurance and escalate them appropriately to minimise risk.
• Collaborate closely with operational teams to gather inputs for financial analysis and explain variances in results.
• Provide timely and relevant data to support informed decision-making across the business.
• Contribute actively to budgeting, forecasting, and re forecasting cycles by providing reliable financial insights.

The ideal candidate will be;

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CA Qualified
• Experience in an industry environment with hands on accounts preparation and leading on month end
• A solid experience of core accounting principles
• Advanced skills in excel and a familiarity with ERP Systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills so you can business partner with the business
• A proactive approach to identifying process gaps or inefficiencies
