Finance Manager

Finance Manager Chester Outskirts (1 - 2 days per week on-site) Up to £72,000 DOE Robert Walters are delighted to be partnered with a well-known Financial Services company based on the outskirts of Chester. They're seeking a qualified Finance Manager with strong technical knowledge.

This will be a pivotal role, reporting into the Group Finance Manager. You will be responsible for both preparing outputs and managing a wide variety of deliverables from the team and therefore a key aspect of the role will be managing the team accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

Management:

• Ensure that the team provides a timely, accurate, proactive service to the business at all times
• Provide coaching and guidance to the team
• Production of monthly management and financial accounts packs to include analysis and commentary on all areas of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow
• Control and reporting of Capex spend
• Ensure that all processes, procedures and controls have been applied
• Ensure all Balance Sheet reconciliations are prepared, reviewed and any issues dealt with promptly
• Production of Group consolidated and individual statutory accounts
• Lead contact for external auditors
• Maintenance and development of detailed cash flow forecasting, tied in with the quarterly re-forecasting process
• Reporting and management of cash balances, including recommending taking mitigating actions as necessary
• Preparation, review and delivery of corporate and deferred tax calculations for statutory reporting

About You:

• Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified due to the technical nature of this role
• Strong accounting and tax technical knowledge, including IFRS, UK GAAP, Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE
• Experience of year end Group reporting process
• Excellent and proven management skills
