Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment, ensuring effective credit management and cash flow optimisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring timely payments and resolving queries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the company’s debtor ledger
• Chase outstanding payments via phone, email, and written correspondence
• Resolve customer queries and disputes efficiently and professionally
• Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers
• Maintain accurate records of all credit control activity
• Prepare and distribute aged debt reports to management
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth invoicing and payment processes
• Support month-end reporting and audit requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar)
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Immediate availability preferred
