The West Midlands Finance Awards seeks to promote and celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals within the West Midlands' finance community.

The 2019 event will take place on the 5th of December in Birmingham and celebrate the achievements of the region’s top finance professionals. The Awards will also recognise the outstanding local businesses that contribute to the economy and employment in the West Midlands across various award categories.

2019 AWARD CRITERIA ARE:

Finance Director of the Year

This award is split into two categories: under £100m turnover and over £100m turnover.

Awarded to the Finance Director with a demonstrable legacy of delivery in financial performance, leadership and management. The winner must be able to provide examples of providing strategic direction to their company.

Presented to the most passionate, driven and delivery focused person in the market. The winner of the qualified award will be a finance professional with under 8 years of experience. They must be able to provide examples of high achievement and out-performing their peer group.

The Not for Profit Finance Team of the Year will demonstrate excellence in their field, with proven examples of collective successes within the last 12 months. This award will go to a West Midlands-based Shared Service Centre and will be measured against strength of processes and people. We will be looking for examples of key achievements around delivery and exemplary customer service.

The winner of this award will be agreed upon by the Finance Awards committee and drawn from this year's applications and nominations. 

The winner of this award will be an innovative organisation, who has achieved financial growth due to the direct and positive impact of the accounting and finance team. They must be able to provide strategies which have driven business growth and an overview of their financial performance over the last 12 months.
